Medium voltage insulators are essential safety components for 10-35kV power systems, providing vital mechanical support and electrical isolation between energized conductors and earthed structures. Applied to busbar supports and conductive joints of circuit breakers and disconnect switches inside substations, these insulators maintain stable insulation while bearing high-voltage conductors. They act as mounting bases for outdoor pole-mounted devices including drop-out fuses and surge arresters in urban and rural distribution networks. Adopting mainstream silicone rubber insulating materials, these insulators have strong dielectric breakdown resistance. They can effectively resist system overvoltage surges, avoid insulation flashover, and secure steady power supply under transient electrical stress.

Silicone rubber boasts excellent weather resistance, pollution resistance and ageing resistance, enabling stable operation under extreme temperatures, rain, snow and heavy contamination. They also feature adequate mechanical strength to bear conductor loads and resist wind, ice and other external forces.
Featuring a simple and sturdy structure, medium voltage insulators need no complicated daily maintenance, only regular visual inspections. They are hardly affected by environmental factors, which greatly cuts distribution network maintenance workload and operating costs throughout their long service lifespan.
