High Short-Circuit Breaking Current Conditions


Self-energy arc quenching technology is activated. Heat generated by the electric arc triggers rapid expansion of SF₆ gas in the expansion chamber, forming an ultra-high-speed airflow to extinguish the arc instantly. With strong breaking capacity, it can effectively isolate high-current faults and protect grid equipment from surge damage.


Low Short-Circuit Breaking Current Conditions

The mechanism switches to puffer-type operation. By mechanical compression, SF₆ gas in the compression chamber forms a directional high-pressure jet to accurately cool the arc root, achieving stable arc extinction, preventing arc re-ignition and improving breaking reliability under light-load fault conditions.


The combined application of dual arc quenching technologies endows the circuit breaker with a wider breaking range, faster response and superior arc extinguishing performance.
