Transmission Line T-connector Fitting

Huixing adheres to strict production standards to manufacture qualified power branch fittings. As an experienced manufacturer and supplier, we provide Transmission Line T-connector Fittings for T-type wire branching in overhead lines and substations. These fittings feature excellent clamping force, low contact resistance, and simple installation. They are compatible with various conductors and high-voltage systems to help reduce power transmission losses.

Transmission Line T-connector Fittings are essential branch connection components for overhead power lines and substation busbar systems. They are widely used for current shunting and wire branching in power transmission projects. With proven field performance and standardized design, they deliver stable mechanical properties and excellent electrical conductivity for high-voltage power grids.

Core Application Scenarios

Overhead Line and Substation Busbar Branching

These Transmission Line T-connector Fittings are mainly used in overhead lines and substations to tap off branch circuits from main busbars in a T-configuration, ensuring reliable connections between main conductors and branch lines. They serve as key components for power distribution in transmission systems.

Multi-Type Conductor Compatibility

Available in bolted (L-type) and compression (Y-type) designs to suit a wide range of conductor cross-sections. For small-cross-section conductors, parallel groove clamps with U-type connections are also available to meet diverse branching requirements.

High-Voltage Power System Applications

Suitable for power systems of 330 kV and above, they fully satisfy the branch connection and insulation requirements of high-voltage transmission lines.

Key Advantages

High Connection Reliability

Strict technical requirements apply to conductor clamping force: the grip strength shall be no less than 10% of the conductor’s specified breaking strength. For bolted clamps for conductors with diameters over 49 mm, the grip strength shall be no less than 3%, ensuring a stable mechanical connection.

Excellent Electrical Performance

Their DC resistance is no higher than that of an equal length of the conductor, and the temperature rise under load is lower than that of the conductor. This effectively reduces power loss and ensures efficient current transmission.

Strong High-Voltage Adaptability

For applications at 330 kV and above, no visible corona occurs at 1.05 times the maximum operating voltage, meeting insulation and electric-field stability requirements in high-voltage environments.

Clear Model Identification

Models use standard letter codes (T for T-connection, Y for compression type, L for bolted type), with numbers indicating the nominal cross-sectional area of the applicable conductor. This enables easy selection and broad compatibility.

Flexible Installation Methods

Both bolted and compression installation options are available, allowing selection based on conductor size and site conditions. U-type connections can be used for small-cross-section conductors, reducing installation difficulty.

As critical branch connection parts for transmission lines, this series of fittings offers stable mechanical performance, superior electrical parameters, and flexible installation. It is an ideal solution for T-type branching of overhead lines and substation busbars, reliably supporting the safe and stable operation of power systems.
